#SheCanSheWill - Active Girls Day 2018 - Chloe's Story...

Chloe Dickson, at 22 years old, has been fencing competitively for half her life. Her journey began by accident, when at the age of 10 she found a bag of her Dad’s old fencing gear under a bed. After being shown the basics at home, it was not long before she had persuaded her parents to take her along to the local fencing club.

 

2019 Challenge Wratislavia - rankings and update

The first YDS of the season is complete and the latest U13 rankings for Challenge Wratislavia are published below.

2018 Vacancies for Elected Directors

Scottish Fencing’s Board comprises seven elected and two independent directors.  The Board appointed Morven Shaw in October to fill a casual vacancy arising from a resignation and two other vacancies arise in February when Billy Steele’s and Sheila Anderson’s terms of office expire.  The Board intends to seek nominations for three Elected Director posts, to serve for four-year terms, and hold an election in February if necessary.

2018 The Highland Open Fencing Tournament - Results

Elgin High School was the venue for the UK’s most northerly open fencing tournament last weekend (29 & 30 September) when over 80 competitors from places as far afield as Portland, Oregon, New York, Orkney and Cardiff competed for the Highland Open Men’s, Women’s Foil, Epee and Sabre titles.

It was the sixth time that the competition has been held in Elgin and the first time at the new Elgin High School.

SwordMark SuperClub Announcement!

Congratulations to Dunblane Fencing Club, who were recently rewarded with Scottish Fencing Swordmark “SuperClub” status!
