2018 CJCFC and CFC Team Manager & Welfare Officer (Voluntary)

Scottish Fencing are seeking a suitability qualified person to act as Team Manager and Welfare Officer at the upcoming Cadet and Junior Commonwealth Fencing Championships being held at the University of Northumberland between the 22nd and 31st of July 2018 and the Commonwealth Senior Fencing Championships in Australia (November 2018)

Contract:                    Appointed to 31 March 2019.

Location:                    Home based but overseas travel and travel within UK for events. 

Salary:                      Voluntary – Scottish Fencing will cover travel and accommodation costs as per our expenses policy and will provide SF Canterbury kit.

Closing date:              26 Feb 2018

Interview dates:        TBC

The qualified candidate will need to be approachable as they will be the first point of contact for anyone, including young people who have concerns about welfare and they must have the confidence and knowledge to be able to deal with these issues. As Team Manager they will need to create a professional squad environment allowing athletes to perform to the best of their abilities whilst upholding Scottish Fencing’s culture, values and relevant policies.
