As President, I represent Scottish Fencing as its titular and functional head in all public affairs.

As Chairman, I chair all meetings of the Directors and all General Meetings of Scottish Fencing; I also work to deliver assurance that Scottish Fencing complies with all relevant governance and strives to identify and nurture best practice.

Safeguarding and Child Protection

Child Protection

At Scottish Fencing we want children and young people to stay safe and have fun while taking part in fencing. Everyone involved in Scottish Fencing has a duty to safeguard the welfare of all children in their care.

In Safe Hands 1 and 2 - essential training for Club Welfare Officers

Wallace Fencing are running the "In Safe Hands" 1 and 2 Child Protection course at Linlithgow Academy on Saturday 21 October 10am - 1pm and Tuesday 24 October 5.30-9.30pm. Further details here:

Scottish Fencing would encourage all Club Child Protection and Welfare officers to attend if they have not previously attended this training.

2017 Senior 5 Nations Selection - fencers information forms

The selectors are currently looking at who is eligible to represent Scotland at the Senior 5 Nations based on the current British rankings. 

If you are not in the top 10 Scots in the British rankings and feel that the selectors should pick you, please use this form to explain why they should consider you for the team. The deadline for completing this form is 5pm on 22 October.

2017 Scottish Intermediates

The Scottish Intermediates is designed as a development competition. It's a stepping stone towards competing in the Senior Open circuit. It's also an event where you can learn some of the myriad of skill-sets that every competition needs to run.

Eligibility

This competition is open to all Intermediate level fencers. You are eligible if you:

  1. are not currently in the top 50 (men) or 25 (ladies) of the Senior British Rankings, which can be found here.
