Scots excel at the British Cadet & Junior Championships
It was great to see a contingent of younger Scots in action at the Cadet and Junior British Championships this weekend. Congratulations go to the following for their fantastic results:

GB Men's Foil team qualify for Rio 2016
#RoadtoRio, Britain’s men’s foil team qualified for the Olympics this weekend. Richard Kruse, the only Scot and his fellow team mates are now looking forward to fencing men’s foil in Rio. You can read the full report with comments from Richard here.
Ready Steady Fence - Edinburgh Plastic Fencing Competition
The Ready Steady Fence series of competitions are for primary school age children who have been coached in clubs or school classes.
Every entrant will receive a Chocolate Medal.
Poule fights up to 3 with Direct Elimination (DE) fights to 5.
Distinct age groups for P3, P4, P5, P6 and P7.
Separate girls and boys competitions.

2016 Secondary School Team Fencing Championships
Please Note: This Competition is for School Teams Only
Each entrant must be an individual member of Scottish Fencing and attend a Scottish secondary school.
Fencers’ names must appear on the membership list obtained from British Fencing on 18th March, otherwise they will be required to pay the appropriate membership subscription at check-in.
Teams must represent Scottish secondary schools.
Each team member must be a current pupil of the school represented by the team.
2016 SFA International Qualifiers - Selection for Challenge Wratisalvia
After five tough rounds of competition the selectors have made their decisions and those selected for Challenge Wratislavia will receve their invitations soon.
Those selected are listed here. We will publish the final squad once we know who has accepted their invite.

2016 BYC Regional Qualifier Scotland West
The British Youth Championships are held in Sheffield from the 30 of April to 2 May 2016. If you have a bye British Fencing will contact you to inform you how you can enter this competition. If you don't have a bye you must enter a regional qualifier. If you wish to enter the British Youth Championships regional qualifier for Scotland West then you must email Becky by the 30 Jan 2016.
2016 Epee Development Day
This is on hold until later in the year - we hope to finalise a date late spring/early summer.
The Epee Development day is for everyone fencing epee.
The idea of the day is to create a learning environment where those more experienced in coaching or fencing epee can share their experience and knowledge.
