The 2015 Senior 5 Nations took place in Belfast on the 21st November.  Our thanks to Northern Ireland Fencing for organising the event this year.  Final placings were as follows

Women's Epee

Commonwealth Cadet & Junior Championships 2015; Team Report

The Scottish national team came away from the 4th Junior Commonwealth Fencing Championships and the Inaugural Cadet Commonwealth championships placed second in the medals table with 4 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals. Cape Town in South Africa played host to the championships and Scotland sent a representative team of over 40 fencers to the event.

Eligibility to Fence for Scotland

The Board have clarified the rules surrounding the Eligibility Criteria for those fencers wishing to represent Scotland.

 

 

Senior 5 Nations 2015 (Northern Ireland)

The Senior 5 Nations will be hosted this year by Northern Ireland Fencing on the 21st November in the University of Ulster Jordanstown Campus, just north of Belfast.

To be eligible for the Team a fencer must conform to the criteria defined in the latest eligibility document.

The selection criteria are:

2015 Winton Cup; Section Team competition

The Winton Cup is a two day 6 weapon tournament where regions fight to become the UK regional champion.   For 2015, Scotland is eligible to field two teams Atlantic'- North/West Section and 'North Sea' - Central/ East Section. Expressions of Interest Invited for Scottish Fencing Team Staff

Scottish Fencing is compiling a list of those members who would like to be considered – at any time – as potential team staff to accompany Scotland teams in representative events. 

If you would like to be considered as a team staff member, either now or in the future, please send a note of your interest along with a brief statement as to what skills and experience you might bring to the role to admin@scottish-fencing.com .

Scottish Fencing are delighted to announce that the following fencers have been selected for the Cadet & Junior Commonwealth Championships 2015.   Please note that all selections are subject to appeals and to BF disciplinary checks.

There will be both individual and team Junior event, but only an individual event for the Cadets; although we have been informed that a secondary team event may be held, resources allowing.
