Cost is £40 per day for Scottish Fencing members (non-members is £60).

Below is a guide to what each course will cover, however if you require any additional information on these courses and which one best suits you please contact Phil who is the coach education manager, or check out the Scottish Fencing coaches forum on Facebook.

Level One

Eligibility:  Open to everyone

Duration: Ideally you should attend on Saturday and Sunday but as the coach education programme is rolling so you can attend one day if this works better for you. 

Level Two


To apply you should meet one of the following criteria:

  • have completed Level One and any Action Plan given to you by the tutors,
  • already hold a coaching qualification, or
  • have coaching experience already and understand the principles of how to coach

Duration: Normally completed in two weekends.

Level Three

Eligibility: You must hold an SF Level 2 qualification in the same weapon as you wish to qualify in.

Duration: As a rough guide this is can be completed in three weekends.
