2017 Epee 48er - recreational event

Date
Sat, 16 Sep 2017
Venue
Linlithgow Academy, EH49 6EH

The 48er is a fun, fencing filled day. If time and entries permit, the day starts with a friendly team match then the main tournament starts with four rounds of mixed pools and no elimination of fencers. By the end of the day you are fencing a final pool of fencers of a comparable standard so everyone is in a ‘final’.

Medals are awarded for the top three in each pool and there are equipment vouchers donated by Leon Paul - Scotland for the winners of the top three pools.

There are fun spot prizes and entry now includes a free prize draw for an electric weapon.

We have a serious prize for the winners and runners up for both the foil and epee series. The series prizes are awarded to the best male best female and their runners up who gain the most points from all three of the weapon specific 48er competitions.

Check-in is at 9.45am

The day finishes by 4 pm with many fencers going on to have a Pub meal at the Post Office on the high street.

All fencers must either hold a full competitive British Fencing or recreational licence to compete at this event.
